CCE works with Oneida County livestock producers ranging from the part-time and hobby farmers to seasoned producers raising larger numbers of animals for market.  Local farmers produce beef, pork, chicken, lamb, goats, eggs, and more.

Many Oneida County producers are responding to the ‘Buy Local’ movement, meeting the demand from consumers who want to source locally raised meats. These consumers value knowing the farmer that raises the animals, and how the animals are raised.  As the world food market becomes more and more global, consumer interest in knowing where their food comes from seems likely to continue to grow.
