Child Care

Ensuring the best opportunities for success in life through early care

All children will thrive and grow in secure environments when families, professionals and communities are committed to excellence. Research shows that 80% of a child’s brain development and 95% of personality and social skill development occurs before age 5.

The Child Care Council educates:

  • Parents about available child care options and about child care regulations
  • The public about issues related to quality care of children, birth to adolescence
  • Child Care professionals using research-based materials
  • Elected officials and the public about recent research and local, state and national data

It is essential for all children to have access to quality early care and learning opportunities. The safety and well-being of children is primary. We assert that child care should be provided by legal, licensed or registered professionals.
