Mohawk Valley Food Action Network

How can our community and our region create a healthy, secure future based on a resilient local food system where affordable and nutritious food is accessible to all?

The Mohawk Valley Food Action Network (MVFAN) was launched in 2010 by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County under a USDA Hunger Free Communities grant and has brought together representative of all parts of our local food system to identify strengths, weaknesses, challenges and opportunities and to build community capacity for the future.

In 2013, MVFAN will launch a Food Policy Advisory Council to formalize a structure for organizing action to improve our local food system.
